CHECKMATE is a workplace training develop to equip staff and management to increase life-supporting conversations in the workplace as a way to provide workplace support. We are all bombarded by the stresses and pressures that we face at work, some days we seem to cope really well and other days, we just need to find some clarity to see a way through it all. Checkmate has been designed to equip organisations with the tools to have life-supporting conversations in the workplace. Most people who find themselves stressed out, under pressure and lacking hope and sometimes even thinking about suicide want help, but find it difficult to reach out. Without an articulate invitation for help, they are often communicating this in other forms. CHECKMATE -trained helpers can recognise signs and take life-supporting action by connecting them with life-supporting intervention resources within the workplace.
