In our delivery of suicide INTERVENTION workshops across the country, a population of concern is our rangatahi / students and youth in our schools, communities, sports teams, churches and workplaces.
It become more and more evident that our young people find it difficult to ask or seek help. The HOPE Heroes workshop was developed by 1 Degreeworkshops in a response to the recognised helping seeking skill gap within our young population groups.
We have also recognised that our delivery methods are very specific to meeting the varied learning styles of our young population. Music, Art, Drama and Dynamic Speaking mediums are used to convey powerful help-seeking skills and engage our young people over the duration of the workshop:
HOPE Heroes has been delivered throughout schools and various cities within New Zealand.
